About Us
Our Vision
Mountain Photo Tours is a locally owned & operated Canadian Rockies photography experience based business led by Canadian landscape photographer Nick Fitzhardinge.
Nick is a professionally certified, & winter accredited, guide with both the ACMG (Hiking Guide) and the IGA (Professional Interpreter). Nick strives to share his connection & expertise among these majestic mountains through the photography workshops, tours & adventures offered here at Mountain Photo Tours. You will explore your creativity and curiosity on a memorable search for new angles, rare light and fleeting moments of wonder, connecting with this area on a deeper level. You will also gain inspiration & add to your skill set as a photographer along the way making your Canadian Rockies trip truly one to remember! See some of what our guests are saying below.
Leave No Trace
We ensure that any individuals or groups that join us on a photography workshop or tour understand that they are responsible for minimizing their impact on the surrounding area.
We are always mindful of packing out everything brought with us as well as ensuring that nothing natural has been removed or altered at the locations we visit. It is important for us to do everything we can to ensure the continued preservation of the landscapes we visit and their ability to be enjoyed by future generations.
Local Expertise
As we approach 20 years of experience in the Canadian Rockies you can rest assured that you are in the best hands possible with regards to maximizing your time & landscape photography opportunities regardless of your experience. Every trip, without fail, turns up unique & special moments different from any other.
Land Acknowledgement
We live and work on Treaty 7 Territory. The territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy: the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani, the Tsuut’ina First Nation and the Stoney Nakoda consisting of the Wesley, Chiniki, and Bearspaw Nations. Along with these indigenous nations this land is also significant to the Ktunaxa, Secwépemc, Dene, Mountain Cree, and Metis Nation (Region 3). We make this acknowledgement as an act of gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting and as a step in the journey of reconciliation.
